WATKINS, LERA R. Lera Robertson Watkins, age 77, died Sunday, March 1, 1992 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a dietary aide for many years. Surviving are one daughter, Martha B. Randall, Roanoke; three sons, Russell W. Watkins, Natural Bridge; Stephen A. Watkins, Louisville, Ky.; Richard L. Watkins, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Robyn Lintz, Blacksburg; Benjamin Hoover Watkins, Paul Hoover Watkins; Claire Victoria Watkins, all of Louisville, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Pam Hoover, Louisville, Ky.; and special friend, Darlene Harrison, Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Douglas Paysour. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
