WITT, SHELBY J. BEDFORD - Shelby Jean Brown Witt, age 55 of Route 3, died Monday, March 2, 1992 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County on September 3, 1936, a daughter of Grover Franklin Brown and Nannie Elizabeth Pasley Brown. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a Medical Transcriptionist at Physicians Associates, Ltd. for many years. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Billy L. Witt, Sr., a son and daughter-in-law, Billy L. and Penny W. Witt, Jr., a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon W. and James Rose, all of Bedford; two sisters, Christine B. Cable, Salem; Evelyn B. Bowles, Rocky Mount; one brother, Glenwood F. "Brownie" Brown, Moneta; one grandson, Shawn Michael Witt, one granddaughter, Mandy Michelle Baumgartner, both of Bedford; one stepgranddaughter, Jennifer Marie Rose, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 4, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Joe R. Prince, Sr. and J.D. Hunt, III officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Land, USA Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
