Pulaski Mayor Gary Hancock filed Monday as a candidate for re-election May 5, and Alice C. Linkous, a former Dublin clerk and treasurer, filed as a challenger for Dublin Mayor Benny Keister.

As of Monday afternoon, Pulaski had seven candidates for four seats - Junior Warner, Joseph L. Weddle, Elbert G. Black Jr. and Roy H. D'Ardenne Jr., all making their first runs for political office; incumbents Alma Holston and J.R. Schrader Jr., who both are seeking a second term; and Pauline "Polly" Mitchell, a former council member running for a new term.

In Dublin, the candidates for three council seats are Alden Hankla, Sam Gregory and Dr. David Farmer, the three incumbents.

***CORRECTION***

PUBLISHED CORRECTION RAN ON MARCH 4, 1992.

BECAUSE OF A REPORTER'S ERROR, THE LAST NAME OF DR. DAVID STANLEY, ONE OF THREE DUBLIN TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS SEEKING RE-ELECTION, WAS INCORRECT IN A STORY TUESDAY.

***CORRECTION***

PUBLISHED CORRECTION RAN ON MARCH 5, 1992.

DAVID FARMER, NOT DAVID STANLEY, IS ONE OF THREE CANDIDATES FOR RE-ELECTION TO DUBLIN TOWN COUNCIL MAY 5. BOTH ARE ON COUNCIL BUT STANLEY STILL HAS TWO YEARS ON HIS TERM.

STANLEY WAS LISTED INSTEAD OF FARMER IN WEDNESDAY'S ROUNDUP OF CANDIDATES BECAUSE OF A MISUNDERSTANDING WHEN A REPORTER CALLED THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE TO VERIFY THE NAME.
