FOUR INDICTED IN FLOYD IN ILLEGAL USE OF TRUCKS

Four Floyd County men were indicted Monday by a grand jury on several charges of taking vehicles from a contractor's storage area in November.

Quality Contracting Inc., a West Virginia business, was installing telephone cable in Floyd County, Commonwealth Attorney Gino Williams said. The contractors had a storage area on Virginia 8 about nine miles north of town, Floyd County Investigator Jerry Yopp said.

Donald J. Weeks Jr., 19, who Yopp said had worked for the contractors, faces six indictments. He was indicted Monday on charges of:

Entering the storage area of Quality Contracting on Nov. 23 with the intent to commit larceny.

Unauthorized use of a 1970 Chevrolet truck belonging to the contractor. The indictment alleges that on Nov. 23, Weeks drove the truck away without the consent of Quality Contracting.

Stealing a 1965 Chevrolet 2-ton truck on Nov. 23 belonging to Cullen Marshall of Willis.

Entering the storehouse of Quality Contracting during the night of Nov. 25, 1991, with intent to commit larceny.

Grand larceny on Nov. 25 of a chain saw, gas and gas cans from a nursery belonging to Lonnie Slaughter.

Unauthorized use on Nov. 25 of a 1970 Chevrolet truck belonging to Quality Contracting.

Daniel Gene Quesenberry, 19, faces three indictments. They are:

Breaking and entering the storage area of Quality Contracting on Nov. 25 with the intent to commit larceny.

Unauthorized use on Nov. 25 of a 1978 Ford belonging to Quality Contracting.

Grand larceny on Nov. 25 of a chain saw, gas and gas cans belonging to Slaughter.

David Nelson Martin, 21, was indicted on two charges: breaking and entering the storage area of Quality Contracting on Nov. 23 with intent to commit larceny and unauthorized use on Nov. 23 of a 1970 Chevrolet dump truck belonging to Quality Contracting.

Gary A. Dalton, 19, also was indicted on two charges: breaking and entering the storage area of Quality Contracting the night of Nov. 23 with the intent to commit larceny and unauthorized use of a 1983 Ford pickup belonging to Quality Contracting.
