NEW GENERAL DISTRICT JUDGE RECEIVES OATH

Edward M. Turner III was sworn in Monday as a General District Court judge for the 27th Judicial District.

Turner, 48, will preside over General District courts in Carroll, Floyd and Pulaski counties and Galax. He is replacing Judge George B. Cooley, who retired Friday.
