CHAMBER TO HEAR COLLEGE PRESIDENT

The president of Lynchburg College will address the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday at its annual dinner and awards presentation.

George Rainsford, president of the college since 1983, also has led central Virginia's United Way drive and been active in other civic organizations.

The event will start at 6 p.m. at the Builders Meeting Center on U.S. 221 in Forest.

Tickets are $17 a person and can be purchased at the chamber office.
