Ruby Hensley Bryant Davis, age 61, of Route 2, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 1992, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born January 20, 1931, in Campbell County, a daughter of the late James Albert Hensley and Mary Crowder Hensley. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Wilson Bryant, and her second husband, Charles Herman Davis. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margueriette Gunter, and two brothers, Branch Hensley and Dwight Hensley. She was a retired employee of Home Health Care, was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Forest Chapter #143. She is survived by three sons, Vincent Bryant, Forest; James Bryant, Moneta; Joseph E. Bryant, Huddleston; two daughters, Anita B. Scott, Huddleston; Deborah Bryant-Hill, San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Nadine H. Roberts, Evington; Moselle H. Miles, Forest; Belva H. Creasy, Lynchburg; one brother, Travis Hensley, Huddleston; 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 5, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. from the Lebanon United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Wayne Murphy and the Rev. Denise Honeycutt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston.
