Schneider, who starred as Bo Duke on "The Dukes of Hazzard" from 1979-85, is currently starring as the Baron in the hit Broadway play "Grand Hotel." He will continue in the role while appearing on "LOV." The actor was also seen in "The Magical World of Disney" (1989) and "Grand Slam" (1990). He has also appeared in the TV movies "Happy Endings," "Stagecoach," "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek" and "Outback Bound."
Daytime veteran Ann Flood is playing Ruth Mansfield on "As the World Turns." Flood's character is described as "an elegant, beautiful and charming businesswoman, who owns Mansfield Ltd., a company she inherited when her husband died. Mansfield will come up against the management of Walsh Enterprises, who are determined to buy out her company.
Flood, always a favorite with soap viewers, had one of the longest runs on daytime when she was seen as Nancy Karr on "Edge of Night" from 1962-84, when the show was canceled. Flood earned Best Actress Emmy nominations during the 1981-82 and 1983-84 seasons. She was also seen as Rose Livingston on "Another World" during 1986-87.
Also joining "ATWT" is veteran actor Frank Converse, who began appearing on Feb. 28 in the role of Ned Simon, a publisher who will become involved with long-time Oakdale resident Emma Snyder (played by Kathleen Widdoes).
Converse was last seen on the small screen as Harry O'Neill on "One Life to Live" (1984-85).
