Lois Catherine Cummings of Christiansburg, died Friday, February 28, 1992 at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. Born May 27, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late E. R. Frederick and Mabel Frederick. She was manager of Brown's Hall of Cards at University Mall in Blacksburg, features editor for the News Messenger, and later worked with corporate affiliates of Virginia Tech. She is survived by her husband, William O. Cummings; two sons, Christopher D. Cummings of Blacksburg; and Jonathan D. Cummings of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Elizabeth Hoffman of Cleveland, Ohio; and Jane Jackson of San Jose, Calif.; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, at 4:00 p.m. at the War Memorial Chapel on Virginia Tech Campus.
