ROBERTSON FISHING RODEO SEEKS DONATIONS, PRIZES

Martha Robertson and the Salem Parks and Recreation Department are requesting donations of money and prizes again this year for the Ernest "Pig" Robertson Fishing Rodeo.

Last year, Robertson collected $7,000 to purchase trout and also received thousands of prizes for the children and nursing home residents who participated. This year's event, the 40th, is scheduled for May 9, 11, 13 and 16.

Contributions may be sent to the Parks and Recreation Department at P.O. Box 869, Salem 24153. Arrangements also may be made to have donations picked up; call 375-3057.
