BUCHANAN - Thomas Ray Witty, age 50, of Rt. 2, died Wednesday, March 4, 1992. He was a retired driver for Webster Brick Co. and a member of Hollins Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Witty; one daughter and son-in-law, Sgt. Debbie Day and Husband, James Day, Aurora, Colo.; one son, Eugene Witty, Roanoke; three grandchildren; six sisters, Ruth Arledge; Loraine Byford, both of Morrison, Tenn.; Beatrice Burlason, Nashville, Tenn.; Margie Helton and Judy Young, Woodbury, Tenn.; Hazel Witty, Roanoke; two brothers Alvin Joe Witty, Morrison, Tenn.; Everett Witty, Muncie, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, with the Rev. Mark Washington officiating. Burial will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
