NO SUCH THING AS HONEST POLITICIAN

ON FEB. 27, the Roanoke Times & World-News reported that $111,285 was given to state senators' campaigns by the banking industry. The 28 yes men who supported the credit-card bill got a total of $81,250: $2,900 for one vote.

Seems like pretty good money for a few minutes' time. I wonder how much is made in a year like this? Come election time, they will tell us how much they have done for us. Ha!

Vote the crooks out. There is no such thing as an honest politician any more. Our election process has gone down the drain because of these huge campaign funds by special-interest groups. So where do we go from here? SOLOMON P. TABOR JR. TROUTVILLE
