SPENCER-JUDY
Anna Kathryn Judy and JamesMichael Spencer were united in marriage on
Saturday, March 7, 1992 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The Reverend James E.
Parke officiated the evening candlelight ceremony. The reception followed at
Belle's at the Holiday Inn South. The matron of honor was Caroline
Provenzano-Hodges of Roanoke, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Donna
Turner of Roanoke, friend of the bride; Bambi Judy of Roanoke, sister-in-law
of the bride, and Terri Spencer of Charlotte, North Carolina, sister of the
groom. The best man was James L. Spencer of Duluth, Georgia, father of the
groom. The groomsmen were Bruce Spencer, brother of the groom; Joey Judy,
brother of the bride, and Peter McCord, friend of the groom. All are of
Roanoke. The guest book was attended by Dawn McCormack of Roanoke and the
lector was Jim Kilcourse of Westlake Village, California. Soloist was Harry
Withers, Jr., and music was provided by organist, Mark DuVall and trumpeter,
Jeff Kresge. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a Fink Original gown of
blush pink satin accented in white alencon lace embellished with rosettes,
seed pearls and sequins and fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and large
pouf sleeves. The basque waistline flowed into a full skirt which extended
into a cathedral length train. The matching headpiece featured a pouf in back
and a cathedral length veil with scalloped pearl edging. She carried a
cascading bouquet of blush pink roses, white dutch tulips, fressia and
alstromeria. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph V. Judy, Jr., of
Roanoke. She is employed by Atlantic Mutual Companies. The groom is the son of
Mr. and the late Mrs. James L. Spencer of Duluth, Georgia, formerly of Salem.
He is employed by Health East, Inc., an affiliate of Carilion Health System.
Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will make their home in
Roanoke.
