Florence T. Benson of Roanoke, passed away Friday in Raleigh Court Health Care Center. She is survived by a sister, Sadie Love, Roanoke; three nieces, Mrs. Charles L. (Dianne) Hilborn, Mrs. Richard W. (Darlene) Bongrazio, Mrs. Carl L. (Jimmie "Susie") Bryant, all of Roanoke; a nephew and his wife, Col. James H. and Mary Benson, USMC, N.C.; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside, Evergreen Burial Park at 11:00 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Phillip E. Sims officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to West End United Methodist Church, 1221 Campbell Ave., S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
