FUQUA, WILLIAM R.

William R. Fuqua, Route 2, Goode, died Friday, at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. Born in Bedford County, he was a son of the late William Henry and Ella Bryant Fuqua. His wife was the late Mrs. Emma Cooper Fuqua. He was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Goode and a Veteran of the Korean conflict. He is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Henderson and her husband Phillip, Burr Hill, Va.; a grandson, Jonathan Willis, Burr Hill; two brothers, James Fuqua and his wife, Faye, Oakland, Calif.; Ruben Fuqua and his wife, Nannie, Goode; three sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Taylor, Goode; Mrs. Nellie Barnett, Buchanan; Mrs. Virgie Craighead and her husband, Henry, Roanoke; one uncle, one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family is receiving friends at the residence. The funeral announcement will appear later. His remains rest at Carl B. Hutcherson Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
