ENDORSEMENT WAS PREMATURE

DESPITE the fact that Mr. Musser was supported by the Roanoke Times & World-News, and endorsed by Messrs. Olin, Thomas, Woodrum, Harvey and Hudson, Mr. Bowers won.

I am disturbed by the endorsements by these gentlemen before the people voted at the mass meeting. The Democratic Party does not need to be divided.

Mr. Harvey made some comments I think were uncalled for. The Musser "team" showed very poor sportsmanship by leaving the meeting early. Win or lose, they should have stayed.

As to parking, I turned around and parked in a business lot. I'm sure a lot of people did the same.

Because of the premature endorsement of Musser, Thomas and Woodrum have lost my vote. MARY SUMMERS ROANOKE
