APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR CITY ART SHOW

Entry applications for the 13th annual Roanoke City Art Show are being accepted by The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge.

The deadline for receiving slides is 5 p.m. March 20.

For rules, a prospectus or additional information, call council offices at 342-5790.

The show will be in the first-floor gallery of the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts from May 9 through July 12. It will open at 5 p.m. May 8 with a public reception sponsored by First Virginia Bank Southwest.

Tom Armstrong, director emeritus of the Whitney Museum of American Art, is juror.

There will be $1,600 in prizes, including a $500 award for the work named best-in-show.
