OBIT SLOVENSKY, R.

Ruth Saunders Slovensky, age 77, of Roanoke died Monday morning in a local hospital. She was an active member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Beth Slovensky; three grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah and John Allen Slovensky, all of Roanoke County; two sisters, Elizabeth Finney, of Roanoke; Jessie Saul of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 1:00 p.m. Wednesay with the Rev. Doyal Spence and the Rev. John Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
