DAYTON HUDSON CUTTING 630 JOBS
Dayton Hudson Corp. will eliminate about 630 jobs in its department store
division and close one or two warehouses, the retailer said Monday. The
division employs 34,000 people in several states and operates Dayton's,
Hudson's and Marshall Field's stores and the B. Dalton Bookseller chain.
Officials didn't say which states would lose jobs, but said nearly half of the
cuts would be in management. - Associated Press
