HOKIES WIN AGAIN IN BASEBALL

Freshman shortstop Dee Dalton went 3-for-5 and belted his first collegiate home run Monday to lead Virginia Tech to a 10-7 baseball victory over Georgia Southern.

Dalton, from Roanoke, homered in the first inning, had a run-producing single in the fifth inning and an RBI-double in the sixth as the Hokies ran their record to 10-0-1.

John Haggas cracked a solo homer in the second inning and Jonathon Frohm pitched 2 innings of hitless relief for the Hokies.
