ARTS CENTER SCHEDULED TO REOPEN MARCH 29

The William King Regional Arts Center will reopen March 29, after two years of renovation work, with a grand opening reception from 1 to 5 p.m.

The center is housed in a former school building constructed in 1913.

It will have new high-security galleries, a full floor dedicated to educational programs, a new museum store called the Looking Glass with art-related merchandise, and studio space for artists.

The center is an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and a member of the Virginia and American Associations of Museums.
