THREE WARS, ALL FOR GREED

DURING Ronald Reagan and George Bush's time, we have waged war against Grenada, Panama and Iraq. Each time it was for greed: Grenada for a new airfield and control of the island; Panama to gain a better hold on the canal and capture Ortega, who may not be guilty.

After supplying Iraq weapons, we annihilated the country to gain a better supply of oil. A year later, "our" sanctions are starving the women and children of this Arab country. CLYDE W. PRESTON ROANOKE
