ON THE MIND

RECENTLY I went into a gift shop at the shopping mall where there were many gag items that dealt with sex and posters and games advertising sex. Then, when I was driving home, I heard two advertisements with sexual overtones.

With all the sex paraphernalia around, sex stays on people's minds. It's hard to avoid it. If more parents noticed the sexually provocative items and advertisements around their kids and and lobbied against them, the teen-pregnancy problem might lessen to some degree.
