STULTZ, OBBIE B.

Mr. Obbie B. Stultz, age 66, of 417 Banksia Drive, Frederick, died Monday, March 9, 1992 at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Md. He was the husband of Esther May Cox Stultz. Born October 3, 1925 in Vinton, Va., he was the son of the late Obbie and Ollie Mae Caviness Stultz. He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief, having served from 1943 to 1968. Mr. Stultz received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and a Phillippine Liberation Medal. After his Naval career, he was a mechanical repairman at PEPCO for 13 years. Mr. Stultz was a member of the F.R.A., Frederick Elks Lodge, V.F.W. #6658 of Emmitsburg, American Legion Post 11, D.A.V. Post 5, and the AM Vets Post 9 of Middletown. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Lorraine Blount, Roanoke, Va. and Nellie Mae Overman, Richmond, Va.; two nieces, Joyce Bill and Sharon Miller; and a nephew, Bruce Derflinger. Friends may call at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, March 12, 1992 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Stauffer Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
