Charles O. Whitlock, age 73, Rt. 1, died early Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at Radford Community Hospital. He was a retired employee of Hercules and was a member of McDaniel Lodge #86 AF & AM, Christiansburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Kate Whitlock; and a brother, W. B. Whitlock, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Florence Palmer Whitlock; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Palmer, Wayne and Patricia Whitlock, Pete and Becky Whitlock, all of Christiansburg; Bob and Linda Whitlock, Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Lee Duncan, Jr., Dublin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Dru Whitlock, Copper Hill; Margaret O. Whitlock, Troutville; Maxwell Whitlock, Medina, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gene and James Hart, Bedford; Arlene and Guy Fritz, Tampa, Fla.; Doris and Allen Jennings, Roanoke; Nancy and David Lindquist, Fulton, Md.; Helen and Douglas Meredith, Salem; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, Christiansburg, conducted by the Rev. Vernon D. Miller with burial in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
