NAYFEH, KHADRAH

Khadrah Nayfeh passed away Monday March 9, 1992 at Montgomery Regional Hospital (Inna Lillahe wa Inna Elehe Rajeoon). She was born in Jordan in 1912. She was the mother of Dr. Ali H. Nayfeh, University Distinguished Professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is survived by her four sons, Dr. Ali H. Nayfeh; Taysir Nayfeh, doctoral student of Industrial Engineering at Virginia Tech; Dr. Adnan Nayfeh, Professor at University of Cincinnati, Ohio; Dr. Munir Nayfeh, Professor of Physics, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; four daughters, Bahia, Huda, Nahlah, Fadwah; forty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 10, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. at the Islamic Society of New River Valley's cemetery located on Yellow Sulphur Road in Montgomery County. McCoy Funeral Home assisted in the burial arrangements. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, donations for charity may be sent to the Islamic Society of New River Valley, Inc. (ISNRV), P.O. Box 10246, Blacksburg, Va. 24062-0246.
