WEATHERSPOON HEADS ALL-METRO TEAM

Southern Mississippi forward Clarence Weatherspoon, the league's leading scorer with 22 points per game, was a unanimous selection to the 1992 All-Metro Conference basketball team, the conference announced Tuesday.

Weatherspoon joins North Carolina Charlotte guard Henry Williams, South Florida guard Radenko Dobras and center Gary Alexander, and Virginia Commonwealth forward Kendrick Warren on the team.

The second team: Tulane center-forward Anthony Reed and guard Kim Lewis, Louisville guard-forward Everick Sullivan and forward-guard Dwayne Morton, and South Florida forward Fred Lewis. - Staff report
