THIRD WORLD PROGRAMS TOPIC OF LECTURE

"From Handout to Hand Over: Redefining Third World Development" will be the topic of a talk given by yogic monk and storyteller Peter Sage, the global coordinator of Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team.

The benefit event will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Blacksburg Metaphysical Chapel at Lee and Church streets.

The talk will showcase Ananda Marga's disaster relief and development activities in Africa and Asia and will include the spiritual organization's approach to women's welfare, alternative energy use, self-sustainable health care and cooperative enterprises.

The event is free and dessert will be provided by Gillie's restaurant.
