LIGHT SNOW, COLD ON WAY

Western Virginia may see some snowflakes today, but the only area where accumulation is expected is near Pulaski, where 1 to 3 inches may fall during the day, said Mark Cunningham, spokesman for the weather service at Roanoke Regional Airport.

Cunningham said high winds and colder temperatures, reaching the upper 30s, are expected today.

The wind should die out by Thursday, but temperatures are expected to remain in the 30s, staying cold through Sunday.
