CONFUSED ABOUT `DIFFUSED'
THIS IS NOT the first time I have written about the fact that writers for
newspapers - not just yours - don't know the difference between "diffused"
(your usage in March 2 news story) and "defused" (which was obviously meant).
How about a required dictionary study of these words?
Why don't you carry Kilpatrick's column "The Writer's Art" anymore?
