Gertrude L. Cunningham died yesterday in a local nursing home. She is survived by one daughter, Antoinette Johnson, Roanoke; two sons, Robert M. Cunningham, Roanoke; Douglas Cunningham, Laurinburg, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Teresa Westfield, Montvale, Va.; Joan Barlow, Roanoke; two goddaughters, Marie Austin, Maryland; Antoinette M. Jones, Roanoke; three sisters, Arcelia Andrews, Roanoke; Claretta Johnson, Washington, D.C.; Ernestine Smith, Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, R. Sanford Smith, Roanoke; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. in the Fizer Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday night at Fizer Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Fizer.
