ROANOKE CITY SCHOOLS SCHEDULE REGISTRATION

Roanoke city schools will hold preschool, kindergarten and first-grade registration for the 1992-93 school year March 19 and 20.

Children 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 are eligible for kindergarten and should be enrolled at the elementary school in their home area. Children reaching 5 years of age during October also may be registered but will be required to take a kindergarten screening test to determine their readiness.

Parents are required to present the child's birth certificate, report of physical examination, immunization certificate and Social Security number at registration.

Children currently enrolled in private kindergarten who will attend public schools next year are required to register. Pupils currently enrolled in Roanoke schools are not.
