RADFORD - Opal Mannon Pannell, age 63, died Thursday in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Pannell, Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Elmer Fields, Renick, W.Va.; a daughter, Vicky Lynn Pannell, Radford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie Lee and Pansy Pannell, Pulaski; Randy Wayne and Tammy B. Pannell, Radford; her father, W. Roy Mannon, Radford; four brothers, William R. Mannon, Jr., Hopewell; Curtis R. Mannon, Tommy G. Mannon, Paul D. Mannon, all of Radford; two sisters, Mary M. Haynes, Rich Creek; Blanche M. (Teeny) Jones, Radford. Six grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
