PULASKI - Henry Lee Albert, Sr., 70 of 112 Fourteenth Street, NW, Pulaski, died suddenly on Wednesday, March 11, 1992, at Waynesboro Community Hospital, Waynesboro, Va. He was born in Pulaski County on November 26, 1921 and was the son of the late Thomas F. and Mary Roope Albert. He graduated from Pulaski High School and served his country in the second World War in the United States Army Air Corp. Later he worked for Hercules Inc. for 26 years where he was assistant supervisor of Fiscal Accounting. Mr. Albert was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club and the Elks Club. Also, he served the local Boy Scouts of America. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Ferguson Albert, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Albert and George B. Wagoner, Jr., Richmond; son and daughter-in-law, Henry Lee Albert, Jr. and Bette Jones Albert, Walkerton, Va.; four grandchildren, Bryan Wagoner, Anne Wagoner, John Lee Albert, Temple Albert; two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Philips, Leesburg, Va.; Mrs. Ella A. Wirt, Tempe, Ariz. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Friday at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that all memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski.
