CAVE SPRING HOLDING SOCCER JAMBOREE

A soccer jamboree involving six local high school teams will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the football field at Cave Spring Junior High.

Each team plays two halves, each against a different opponent.

In the first game, Cave Spring will play 1991 Group AA Region IV champion Blacksburg. At 11 a.m., Roanoke Catholic will take on Patrick Henry; Blacksburg plays Lord Botetourt at noon; Catholic plays defending Group AA runner-up William Byrd at 1 p.m.; Patrick Henry meets Lord Botetourt at 2 p.m.; and Cave Spring and Byrd meet at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for children, proceeds going to the Cave Spring High School soccer program. - Staff report
