ROANOKE WOMEN ROUT JAPAN ALL-STARS 16-6

Courtney Dittman scored seven goals and an assist to lead Roanoke College past the Japan All-Stars 16-6 in an exhibition women's lacrosse match Thursday at Alumni Field.

The Maroons scored 13 first-half goals. Jen Bessel added two goals for Roanoke, and Donna Galligan and Liz Florence aded two goals apiece.

The Japanese team was led by Akiko Yoshizawa's three goals. - Staff report
