GATEWAY CHRISTIAN EARNS TRIP TO FINAL FOUR

Gateway Christian is among the final four teams vying for the American Association of Christian Schools basketball championship.

The Crusaders (25-7) knocked off Alabama Cornerstone Christian, 56-44 to earn a berth in the national semifinals.

Matt Linkous led a balanced attack with 14 points. Sam Moore and Brad Ewing added 12 and Tim Henderson scored 10, including his 1,000th career point. Henderson is only the second Crusader to reach that milestone.

Cornerstone (20-8) was led by Brandon Kitchens who had 20 points.
