SPRING CLEANUP BEGINS MONDAY IN BLACKSBURG

Each fall and spring the town sponsors a townwide cleanup program.

Residents are allowed to leave up to a pickup truckload of unwanted furniture and unwanted boxed or bagged items that aren't included in the regular trash pickup service and up to a truckload of brush and chippeable yard waste.

Items will be picked up separately and brush mulched. Hazardous materials will not be collected.

The cleanup runs Monday through April 10 in the four parts of town, sectioned by the following streets:

Southeast (Roanoke Street and Harding Avenue/South Main) March 16-20.

Northeast (North Main/Harding Avenue) March 23-27.

Northwest (North Main/Prices Fork Road) March 30-April 3.

Southwest (Prices Fork Road/South Main) April 6-10.
