LISTERINE CUTS DOWN ON MOUTH PUCKER

If halitosis has you down, take heed: the maker of Listerine has developed a better tasting mouthwash than the cheek-scrunching version on the market for more than 100 years.

Warner-Lambert Co. on Thursday introduced Cool Mint Listerine as a companion to its familiar flagship product. The milder blue liquid carries the same endorsement from the American Dental Association that original Listerine has had since 1987.

Americans swill about $720 million worth of mouthwash each year. Warner-Lambert estimates original Listerine has about one-third of the market, making it the country's top seller. - Associated Press
