OBIT COVEY, I.

Miss India Covey, age 96, died Thursday in Wheatland Hills Retirement Center. She was born near the little village of Snowville in Pulaski County on January 21, 1896, the daughter of the late Thomas W. Covey Sr. and Lula Showalter Covey. She was a retired school teacher having taught high school mathematics for 43 years. She is survived by six nephews and five nieces. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with Mr. Larry Phillips, Mr. Carnice Mannon and Mr. Lowell Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Covey Family Cemetery at Snowville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
