CANCER CONFERENCE TUESDAY AT VET SCHOOL

The "Student Cancer Conference" will be held Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, room 102 of the Phase III building. Cancer in animals and people will be discussed.

The focus of the conference is on lymphomas, or cancer of the immune system.

The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine was one of the first veterinary colleges in the nation to receive funds from the American Cancer Society to study cancer in animals, because the disease has basic similarities in humans.

For more information on the conference, call Linda Pfeiffer at 231-7913.
