HOW TO KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME

School readiness will be discussed March 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at a program at the Roanoke County's main library at 3131 Electric Road.

The speakers will be Faye Pleasants, executive for staff development and personnel with the Roanoke City Schools; Lorraine Lang, supervisor of language arts for the Roanoke County Schools; and Sara Simmons, associate professor of education and physical education at Roanoke College.

The free event is sponsored by the Southwest Virginia Association for Early Childhood Education. For information, call 774-0003 in the evenings.

"Body, Mind and Spirit - How the Pre-Schooler Develops," a free seminar featuring a pediatrician, a psychologist and a representative of Lutheran Family Services. It will be held March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at 2011 Brandon Avenue in Southwest Roanoke.
