FUREY-KINKEAD

Michael F. Furey and Heather D. Kinkead, both formerly from Blacksburg, were married in Los Angeles, California on December 20, 1991 and exchanged wedding vows on December 27 in the Blacksburg home of the groom's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael J. Furey. The Reverend Alfred C. Payne conducted the service and the blessing of vows.

The bride attended Blacksburg High School for one year and earned a degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota. She is currently a Los Angeles-based health and business write.

The groom attended Blacksburg High School and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He earned a degree in computer science from Virginia Tech. Pursuing dual careers, he is currently the System Administrator for Amgen, Inc., and a keyboardist/recording artist. He has recently toured with Marilyn McCoo and Sheena Easton and is in the process of recording The Sound and the Furey, a CD of his own compositions.

Following a reception at the Red Lion Inn, the couple honeymooned in Maui. They make their home is Westlake Village, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.
