Ruth Hickey, age 69, of Roanoke, died Friday, March 13, 1992. Surviving is her husband, Eugene Hickey; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Debra Hickey, Roanoke; one sister, Lillian Skidmore; one brother, Robert Manke, both of Maryland; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Mitchell, Roanoke. Services will be from Oakey's South Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Carl Zigler and the Rev. Joseph Sacura will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel after 12:00 noon Saturday where the family will receive callers from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad, American Heart Association, or the Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
