BOONES MILL - Mrs. Rosa Lee Nichols Custer, age 78 of Route 1, died Saturday, March 14, 1992. She was the widow of Wilfred B. Custer. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Julius Jamison, Ferrum; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Janet Custer, Gene and Doris Custer, all of Boones Mill; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; a sister, Eva St. Clair, Vinton; one brother and five sisters-in-law, Howard and Virginia Nichols, Boones Mill; Annie Nichols and Mary Nichols, Callaway; Ella Lee Nichols, Rocky Mount; Edith Nichols, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Lynch Chapel by the Rev. Gary Davis. Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 2:00 p.m. Sunday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Callaway Rescue Squad, Callaway, Va. 24067.
