BOLTON MAKES SONGS HE SINGS HIS OWN

REGARDING The Associated Press article about the Grammy Awards (Feb. 26): We would like composer Irving Gordon to tell us where his song "Unforgettable" would be without the special talents of Nat "King" Cole. Cole made that his song, and Michael Bolton makes whatever he sings his.

Some of the press feel a need to form our opinions for us through biased coverage, and then other members just follow the lead because they can't think for themselves. We have to wonder if your reviewer was even at Michael's concert in Roanoke Jan. 25, or just wrote a preconceived review. It was quite a put-down to have her insinuate that the audience lacked the intelligence to know that we got exactly what we wanted - a great show from a great entertainer, who gave us his music, in his style.
