ADMINISTRATOR LEAVING APRIL 14

Botetourt County Administrator John Williamson announced Monday at the county's monthly Board of Supervisors meeting Williamson that he will resign effective April 14.

Williamson, 37, has been county administrator for six years. He is taking a job as director of rates and finance for Roanoke Gas Co.

Ned McElwaine, now the county's assistant county administrator for economic development, planning and administrative services, was named by the board as Williamson's interim replacement during the likely three-to-five-month serch for a new administrator.
