WATCH RADFORD TEACHERS IN ACTION

BRAD D. Mortensen's commentary, "Why can't Johnny think?" (March 6), leads me to believe he has no children and has never been a teacher in public schools.

From my experience, I have found that Virginia schools are full of teachers who maintain discipline and at the same time promote creative thinking.

Mr. Mortensen is a senior at Radford University. I suggest he spend some time observing Radford city schoolteachers in action. MARGE ROBERSON RADFORD
