OBIT - ROSE, T.
Mr. Terry Ray Rose, Sr., age 58 of Wirtz, formally of Woodbridge, Va. died
Sunday afternoon March 15, 1992 in Franklin Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rose was
born September 5, 1934 in Mercer County, W.Va. and was the son of the late Roy
and Flossie Peavley Rose. He was retired from the U.S. Army having served for
twenty two (22) years, and served with the U.S. Postal System. Mr. Rose
married on September 30, 1954 to the former Nancy Curry who survives. Also
surviving are four sons, Terry Ray Rose, Jr. of Stafford, Va.; Timothy Rose of
Alexandria, Va.; Tony Rose of Woodbridge, Va. and Scott Rose of the home.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Kathy Matagrano of Bronx, N.Y.;
Karen Henariguez and Sherry Wright, both of Alexandria, Va.; six brothers,
Tomothy Rushbrook of Wilkesboro, N.C.; John Rushbrook of El Paso, Texas; Kirby
Rushbook of Rome, Ga.; Frankie Rushbrook and Kevin Rushbrook, both of Welsh,
W.Va. and Harry Rushbrook of Hemphill, W.Va.; two sisters, Charlene Swick and
Sharon Jordan, both of Welsh, W.Va. and seventeen grandchildren. Mr. Rose was
preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Louise Rose and one brother, Richard
Rushbrook. Funeral service with full military rites will be conducted at 4:00
p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 1992 from the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev.
Hollis Harris and Rev. Jackie Spence with interment to follow int he Franklin
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to
9:00 p.m. at the Lynch Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Lynch
Funeral Home, Rocky Mount is in charge of arrangements.
