OBIT - DILLON, A.

Mr. Alfred R. Dillon, age 82 of Route 1, died Monday, March 16, 1992 in a Roanoke Hospital. He was born in Franklin County, November 7, 1909, son of the late Lorenza Dillon and Sallie Kate Altice Dillon. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church in Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Bousman Dillon of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra D. and Melvin L. Walters, Florence, S.C.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin E. and Opal Dillon, Salem; Harry E. and Josephine Dillon, Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Alice D. Perdue, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Arrington Bussey Funeral Chapel by the Rev. John E. Wallace. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington Bussey Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
